Dr. Stokes was born and educated in California, graduating from UCLA Medical School, earning many awards and honors. He did a General Surgery and Plastic Surgery residency at UC Davis and has kept current on trends and techniques in the many aspects of aesthetic Surgery by attending conferences and extracurricular courses over the years. Dr. Stokes maintained a purely aesthetic private plastic surgery practice in Santa Barbara for 13 years before relocating to North Carolina where he currently practices in the Plastic Surgery Center at the Pinehurst Surgical Clinic.

Dr. Stokes has been married to his high school classmate and sweetheart since 1988. They live in Pinehurst, North Carolina with

their two sons.

Dr. Stokes has authored over a dozen national and internationally published articles and abstracts. His areas of special interest include body contouring (liposculpture, abdominoplasty, arm contouring), and breast surgery, but his practice includes all facets of aesthetic plastic surgery.

 

He has also recently written an article on An Insiders Guide to Choosing a Plastic Surgeon. We highly recommend that anyone researching a Plastic Surgeon read this!
