Facial Procedures

Welcome to the Facial Plastic Surgery Center of Pinehurst Surgical.  We believe that each person has unique needs when it comes to making decisions regarding plastic surgery. That is why we offer personal consultations in the privacy of our office to evaluate the possible benefits to you of cosmetic surgery.

During this consultation, you will learn more about cosmetic surgery and what we can offer you in the skill and experience of our plastic surgeons and our staff. We will explain what you can expect during and after a procedure and any possible complications or risks. You will also have time to ask any questions and discuss any concerns you may have.

The advancement in technology and skills of Dr. Kilpatrick and our staff have resulted in shorter recovery times, increased accuracy and better outcomes for patients. We offer computer imaging. This process provides you with a personal computer generated “before and after” view of the possible results that can be accomplished with facial cosmetic surgery.

Our Facial Plastic Surgery Center includes an in-office surgical suite, a recovery room, a private entrance and reception area. Our patients have the comfort of knowing the facility is certified for surgical excellence by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care Inc. (AAAHC). This certification ensures that the physicians, the staff and the facility have met the highest standards for patient safety and state-of-the-art equipment.

Pinehurst Surgical Facial Plastic Surgery Center offers several types of cosmetic solutions for men and women. Dr. Kilpatrick and our staff are very experience in all of the procedures shown below.

Nose Surgery

One of the most common plastic surgery procedures, rhinoplasty is performed to reshape, reduce or augment a person’s nose, remove a hump, narrow nostril width, change the angle between the nose and the mouth, or to correct injury, birth defects, or other problems that affect breathing.

Ear Surgery

Ear surgery is typically performed to set prominent ears back closer to the head, or to reduce the size of large ears. Surgery may be helpful for “lop ear,” “cupped ear” and “shell ear,” large or stretched earlobes, and lobes with large creases and wrinkles.

Facial Implant

Many areas of the face can be effectively augmented with facial implants. Commonly treated areas include the chin (chin implant), the cheekbones (malar augmentation), and the lips (lip augmentation). Several different types of implants are available and are used on an individual basis.

Facelift

In time, gravity, sun exposure, and the stresses of daily life take their toll on our faces: deep creases appear beside the mouth, the jawline slackens, and folds and fat deposits appear on the neck.

Facelifts counteract these problems by removing fat and tightening skin and muscles, giving your face a fresher, youthful look. After surgery, some patients appear 10-15 years younger.

Brow Lift

Brow lifts can revitalize drooping or lined foreheads, helping you to look less angry, sad or tired.

Minimally Invasive Browlift

A Minimally Invasive Brow lift is very effective at elevating sagging eyebrows while eliminating many of the wrinkles of the brow and forehead. The scars are all hidden in the hairline, and the recovery time is usually quite short.

Chin Augmentation

Chin surgery, also known as mentoplasty, is a surgical procedure to reshape the chin either by enhancement with an implant or reduction surgery on the bone.

Anterior Cervicoplasty

This procedure is ideal for patients who may not want a face or neck lift, but wish to get rid of their “Turkey Gobbler Neck”.  Click to learn more.

Eyelid Surgery

Blepharoplasty can rejuvenate puffy, sagging or tired-looking eyes by removing excess fat, skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. Eyelid surgery is a cosmetic procedure but can also improve eye sight by lifting droopy eyelids out of the patient’s field of vision.

The CO2RE is a laser system designed to do skin resurfacing and facial rejuvenation. The CO2RE provides superior technology that with ease can navigate over a patient’s skin in order to provide complete facial rejuvenation in a single treatment.  This technology works to reduce the signs of skin aging and alleviate the appearance of wrinkles, acne scars, blemishes or scars. It encourages the production of collagen and healthy new skin cells and has the ability to treat superficial and deep skin layers simultaneously.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

Laser skin resurfacing, commonly called a laser peel, removes the outer, often damaged layer of skin for a smoother, younger look. Laser resurfacing can reduce the appearance of sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines, uneven pigmentation and superficial scarring, usually on the face.

Scar Revision

Once a scar forms, it is permanent but may be made less visible or relocated surgically. A person considering facial scar revision must understand that there is no way to remove scars completely. The goal is to improve the appearance of the scar either by disguising it, relocating it or minimizing its prominence. Different scars require different treatments or plastic surgery techniques.
